After stringing, I looked up another For Dummies video on how to tune the guitar. I had remembered the 5th fret method from long ago when I tried to learn guitar, so I started by trying this. I used my 3 year old's little piano and tuned the low E string to it and tried to tune the other strings to this one. After the 3rd or 4th string, though I didn't really feel like I was doing a good job, so after my husband suggested an app, I went looking. I downloaded the Guitar Tuna app both onto my iPad and my iPhone and used it. I had to look up instructions because I wasn't able to figure it out myself, but once I understood it, it was easy to tune my guitar. On Ovelin's (the creator of the app) website, they had tutorial videos and this was the one on how to use the app.
Now I'm excited because I can actually start playing! I found another cool app that I'll show next time - hopefully I'll like it and it will help!
