I have looked at a couple of different ways to social network and connect with others who are learning to play the guitar. I started following #LearningGuitar on Twitter and posted a couple of times, but I didn't find most of the posts helpful in my learning or even useful in getting me to interact with others learning to play. You can see examples from the posts from this hashtag below.
On Pinterest, I searched on helpful tips for learning guitar, but also didn't find a lot of luck. Most of the things that were posted were chord sheets to help you learn different chords. Since I don't want to just play chords, although these could be helpful, they don't give me ideas on ways to learn in the style that I want to play. I just created a board and pinned a few things to show the types of things that I found. I'll continue to look here to see if I can learn more and come up with new ideas for my learning, but haven't had any aha moments thus far.
I think that this is a really good way to get information about the guitar. In my searching I have found good songs to try out and different techniques. This is a very worthwhile way to approach learning the guitar and certainly a good way to connect yourself with other musicians. Keep it up.

Tiffany,
I like how you are trying to incorporate social media to learn how to play guitar. It's unfortunate that some of it is not as helpful as you would like, but I guess that is part of the learning process. Keep up the great work!
